The Toyota Proace is a Medium Van available in two different body configurations – Medium and Long – which is available in both Panel Van and is the equivalent of L1 and L2.
The dimensions of the Toyota Proace see it measure just under five metres in Medium (L1) guise at 4981mm, while the larger Long (L2) model extends to 5331mm in length.
The Toyota Proace Vivaro shares its underpinnings and mechanicals with equivalent models from within parent company Stellantis’ group – the Citroen Dispatch, Peugeot Expert, FIAT Scudo and Vauxhall Vivaro.
It means the Proace has identical dimensions to that of its siblings with nothing to choose between these models in terms of size and interior space.
The larger Long (L2) body size is notable for extending its length between the rear wheel and the rear overhang, rather than increasing the wheelbase. It means the Proace has exactly the same wheelbase across the range, regardless of whether it is a Medium or Long body style.
While the load volume to the bulkhead is competitive for the class at 5.3 cubic metres (L1) or 6.1 cubic metres (L2), the Proace has the option of a load-through bulkhead hatch/foldable front-seat which extends the load capacity into the front passenger footwell.
This increases load length at floor by more than 1.1m in the Medium or by an extra 1.2m in the Long. This increases cargo volume overall to 5.8 cubic metres (L1) or 6.6 cubic metres (L2).

The Toyota Proace Panel Van length has a payload ranging between 1000kg to 1400kg when paired with one of either turbodiesel versions available (1.5-litre or 2.0-litre).
Choose the 75kWh electric specification Proace and the payload ranges between 1000-1335kg.
The Toyota Proace’s towing capacity is dependent on the engine or powertrain you select.
In its most powerful 2.0-litre turbodiesel, the Proace can tow braked up to 2500kg, while the 1.5-litre turbodiesel manages 2000kg.
Each electric Proace Electric in Standard or Long guise is capable of towing up to 1000kg.
